Bloomfire’s sixth annual Elevate Knowledge conference is coming up on May 6-7, 2020 in Austin, Texas. Thanks to the feedback and collaboration of our awesome customers, Elevate Knowledge has gotten better every year, and we can’t wait for our 2020 conference.

Whether you’re part of a new Bloomfire community or have been using Bloomfire for years, there’s a lot you can learn at Elevate Knowledge, and we’d love to see you in Austin.

Need a reason to attend? We’ve got ten.

1. You’ll Hear From Other Bloomfire Customers

Customer presentations are front and center at Elevate Knowledge. We know how valuable it is to see how others are using Bloomfire and encouraging knowledge sharing in their organizations, which is why we always invite customers from a wide range of industries to speak on topics that will resonate with other attendees. Past session topics have included evolving your knowledge sharing strategy as your business changes, empowering workers in the field, and making your company culture part of your knowledge management strategy.

2. You Can Share Your Company’s Story

Remember how we just said we put customer presentations front and center? We’d love to hear from you if you have an interesting knowledge sharing or productivity story that you think would appeal to other Bloomfire customers.

If you’re interested in doing a 25-30 minute presentation or a 10-15 minute Ignite Talk, you can apply to be a speaker now.

3. You’ll Get to Meet Our Team

Our whole company gets involved in Elevate Knowledge, from the client success managers you may already know to the engineers who help build and improve our platform. Elevate Knowledge is your chance to meet the people behind Bloomfire. Our team members are ready to talk to you about your knowledge sharing successes, offer you recommendations for things to do in Austin, or get your take on the best songs to sing at karaoke (we have diverse interests).

4. You’ll See Why the Austin Central Library Is One of the World’s 100 Greatest Places

We’re holding Elevate Knowledge at the Austin Central Library, which Time Magazine ranked as one of the 100 Greatest Places in the World. Once you see the library, you’ll get why it earned that designation. The library features expansive windows, views of Lady Bird Lake, an art gallery, plenty of reading areas, a cafe, and a rooftop garden. We’ll have breaks throughout both days of Elevate Knowledge, and we highly recommend you check out the rooftop garden on one of those breaks—you won’t find a better view of downtown Austin.

5. You’ll Build Connections with Other Bloomfire Users

Elevate Knowledge attendees come from all over the country and work in a wide range of industries, from retail to professional services. Attending Elevate Knowledge gives you the chance to learn from people with a broad array of perspectives, and you might be surprised at what you come away with and the connections you form. Jason Pafford, Instructional Designer and Communications Specialist at Orvis, had this to say about last year’s conference:

“The tribal knowledge that’s in the room is amazing. There is so much you can learn here whether you’re a long-term community or a new community.”

6. You Never Know What Surprises Are in Store

We always save some surprises for Elevate Knowledge, from previews of upcoming feature releases to friendly trivia competitions to our CFO, Bill Tole, debuting a homemade invention (those who were at Elevate Knowledge in 2018 might remember that moment — while the execution was rough, we applaud Bill’s initiative.)

You’ll have to attend Elevate Knowledge 2020 to find out what surprises we have in store this year.

While Bill’s invention was far from functional, it made for a great photo op.

7. You’ll Get to Enjoy Some of the Best Food and Drinks in Downtown Austin

Austin’s a great food city (breakfast tacos, BBQ, Tex Mex… do we need to go on?), and every year we host after-conference events so you can get a taste of quintessential Austin cuisine. After a busy day of knowledge sharing sessions, we want to make sure that you have the chance to enjoy some of the best food and drinks that Austin has to offer.

8. You’ll See the Return of Bernie the Knowledge Owl

Last year, we unveiled a new owl mascot for Elevate Knowledge. One of our attendees dubbed the owl Bernie, and the name stuck. Bernie will be making more appearances this year around the Austin Central Library and maybe even in person (stay tuned).

9. You’ll Get to Enjoy Our After Parties

We love spending time with our customers, which is why we host both a welcome party on the first night of Elevate Knowledge and an after party on the second night. It’s become a tradition to go to a karaoke bar, and this year, we’ve got a bigger and better karaoke night in the works. Even if you don’t want to sing, it’s your chance to see the musical stylings of our CEO Mark Hammer, CFO Bill Tole, and Mayor of Bloomfire Bheeshmar Redheendran.

10. You’ll Leave With Actionable Knowledge Sharing Strategies

We want to make Elevate Knowledge as fun as possible, but we also want to make sure you leave with new ideas and actionable tactics that you can use to improve your company’s knowledge sharing initiative. After last year’s conference, AGIA Affinity’s Vice President of Member Services, Tammy Shelman, told us:

“We love how each company can come in and talk about their successes and lessons learned, and we’re able to take it back and incorporate those best practices.”

Many of our customers have told us that they leave Elevate Knowledge feeling energized and that they can’t wait to apply what they’ve learned to their knowledge sharing communities. And it’s our goal to make sure you feel that way when you leave Elevate Knowledge 2020.
