What do Capital One and Estee Lauder have in common? They’ve both adopted new strategies to adapt to a decentralized and flexible work environment, and they’re going to be sharing some of their learnings in a Bloomfire-moderated webinar on July 1st at 10am CST.
Tanner Frevert, CCX Insights and Customer Voice Manager at Capital One, and Melina McPhee, Manager, Global Customer Care at Estee Lauder, will be joining our Senior Strategic Account Manager, Jenna Kitley, for a (virtual) fireside chat about their recent experiences working with their decentralized teams.
As many leading companies consider allowing employees to work from home through the end of 2020—or even permanently—it’s becoming increasingly clear that the future of work is one in which employees are empowered to work when and where they can be most productive. “I think this [period of social distancing] has proven that people are capable of doing their work from home and that we’re not losing out on any sort of productivity,” says Tanner. “My expectation is that there’s going to be a pretty high level of comfort with people working from home in the future or even going remote on a full-time basis.”
Flex work offers many benefits to both employers and employees, ranging from decreased overhead costs to greater autonomy and employee empowerment. “One unexpected benefit I’ve experienced is being more confident in risk-taking and decision-making,” says Melina. “It seems easier to challenge ideas in my home environment and brings my true personality to work.”
However, there are also challenges that businesses need to weigh, such as effectively communicating and sharing information across decentralized teams, as they seek to make flexible working as successful as possible.
Tanner, Melina, and Jenna will be discussing both the challenges and benefits of flex work, as well as:
- The evolution of flex working and why it’s different from remote working
- Strategies to make collaboration successful when team members aren’t in the same room
- Real-world lessons and best practices for shifting to this new norm of working
We hope you’ll be able to join us for this fireside chat. Space is limited, so register today.
